May 23 Donna's JourneyMy mother (Donna) has officially started on her "beat this cancer" journey. To visit her CaringBridge site click on Donna's Journey on the left in the "Blogs I follow" area and follow her along this journey as only told in her words.
We could all use an extra prayer covering right now....like I said before, prayers for strength and endurance for all of us but my mom (and therefore my dad) are taking the direct hits. Thank you God that you care so much for all your children...that we can come to you for anything at any time. Lord I pray for my mom's complete physical healing and that she feels extra comfort/love/peace and some extra energy to make it through all the little things that creep up. Your are the perfect source of all things good so it is in Jesus' name, Amen.
*pink font in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness* Long time "no type"Yes it has been a VERY VERY long time since my last entry in April!!!
1) There is always the weekly routine-church, mom's group, small group, groceries, increasing my time exercising at the YMCA, Gym time at the YMCA, Nathan's softball league, My super favorite show (Dancing with the Stars-Hooray for Kristi Yamaguchi
2)Monthly (or a one time this particular month) things too-chiro visits, various birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, more up to date pics of the kids (@Sears)
Faith and Josiah (all three were very passionate about worm hunting)
Meema and Greatgrandma Dee (fun at the zoo)
4)And to top it all off, my mom was diagnosed with inflamatory breast cancer (the lesser known and aggressive type). She will be starting chemo tomorrow at the Mayo Clinic. We could all use your prayers for strength and endurance especially. I will post more later (and I will put a link to her CaringBridge site when it is up and running.)
Yeah, so that was the last month in a nut shell. Potty Training UpdateI guess that I would have to say that Tyler is officially potty trained. I don't say that with a ton of emphasis because there are still details to work out. For example, Tyler can do everything start to finish in his own bathroom. The toilet is shorter. The toilet paper is within reach. The sink has much more counter top space for all his hand washing supplies...yada yada. So we have yet to figure out other bathrooms that have other dimensional differences. We have yet to figure out sleeping arrangements with and without diapers because naps and nighttimes are a zoo with the amount of times he can get up and down to do his business. It is my opinion that not only does he really want to stay awake and come out of his room so it is a great excuse, but he really has nothing else to do and think about in a dark quiet room. And we still have to figure out how to end the sticker chart thing. I have started talking about the end coming soon to be proactive...but I still don't know HOW to end it.
And then there is Beth. The girl gets extremely upset if she can't come to the bathroom with us because she wants to wash her hands every time we do. I am talking extremely upset!! So, what will potty training be like with her? And When!?!?! I refuse to think about that right now. |
