    Wordless Wednesday

Got this idea from some other blogs I read.  Thought I would give it a whirl....and now, after considering that these are too many words already....I give you the pic. Party

    Ya don't see this everyday!

Nathan and I were on a date...headed for a Twins game a week or so ago.  That is significant for this blurb because that is the reason that I actually had my camera with me and snapped this pic while we were driving!  Then I doctored up the licence plate (since it is a complete stranger, thanks to picnik.com) to show you.  Smile

Evidence that drastic times call for drastic measures...I guess....at least they are polite about it...and kinda courageous...in a way!  Hot  I will admit that I kinda want to meet them face to face and see what they are really like with all the other aspects of their life/lives.

    Easter

What a glorious day here in Minnnesota.  We had a great church service and good food and family....

Here is the story with pictures-
    Dying Eggs:

    On an Egg Hunt:

And because the weather was so nice we thought we could try out the teeny tiney kites that the kids got in their baskets from Grandma.  I kinda got addicted to it!Wink

    How was your EASTER?

Home Depot is nice to kids (families)

I had heard for a while that Home Depot did stuff with kids.  But that was all I knew....I didn't know any other specifics until a friend of ours hooked us up in March.  We made these:
    Mini Race Track Thingies

We walked up and got supplies for free.  Aprons to wear for every project that you come back for...free.  Upon completion the kids got a certificate, pin, lollipop, sticker....yet again free.  Nice!

So we went back in April for Tyler's Birthday:
    Bird Houses

Yet again...FREE.  And the staff is so nice....needless to say, we will be back there in May for this wheelbarrell-thing-a-ma-bober.  Hot

PS- I guess Lowes does something similar...just haven't been there yet!  Hope to check it out soon.

    March Madness...

....yeah, I know it is a little late....but I was too preoccupied with watching the brackets/scoring....and I won a dinner out with the family...so at least I have an excuse (not a good one, just an excuse. Tongue out).

    Day One:
A picnic lunch.  Daddy came home for his lunch break.  It is a family affair!Party

    A Great Friend....

....sent me this link/video just this morning.

I don't know how/when/why she got it, but I instantly LOVED it!!!Red heart (and not just because it is a dancing video!)

Why?  Well, let me tell you my friend(s).

Yes, I love the dancing.  Can't deny that.  But I had an emotionally hectic morning because mostly due to my aloofness, Beth took a giant nose dive out of our car and on to the parking lot pavement face first, neck bent funny, UGLY!  There was blood, yada, yada...So we scrapped the Y visit and saw the chiro instead...this is about the time my friend emailed the link....so it was waiting for me when I got home.  Open-mouthed  Then it was the Sound of Music, Julie Andrews' voice.....one of my all time favorites!!!  I had also seen the one done at the Liverpool station and thought that one was impressive so this was a good knock off/copy/tribute.  And it was in Antwerp, Belgium....I lived there (1986-1990) as a kid and was actually at that very train station many times for many reasons!!!  I am not sure that my friend knew these exact details when she sent the email.....I will have to ask her.  But as I got ready to put this blog together, another friend emailed this video too....so it's catchy! Tongue out  Heck, I even looked at a few other versions too, to get the full flavor and attempted to read the extra info on the sides of the YouTube accounts, but it was in Flemish/Dutch.  I can't read it any more...but I sure had fun trying.  My grandparents would be proud....they have Belgian roots.  Smile

So, thanks to the friends who "hooked me up!" Open-mouthed
Nice job to the dancers and others involved in making the clip! Open-mouthed
Hope you all enjoyed it too......I so gotta get on the ball and get a clip together of us Ledbetter Family Dancers/Musicians!Hot

    Tyler is 4

    The time has flown!

God created such an amazing boy in our Tyler!!!  He is a very energetic 4 year old....He loves being 4!  He loves trains and cars and planes and sports and books and animals of all kinds.  He is a thinker and talks straight when he notices something or has a question about anything and everything.  He is ready to explore the world and wonders when he can experience x, y, or z!  He wants to be a knight or a super hero when he grows up because they are strong, brave, and help people.  He is very free with hugs and kisses (to friends and family) and is quick to find a "better idea" if there is ever debate about anything.  He is crazy about babies...pretending to be one or loving on little/real ones that he comes into contact with.  His imagination is elaborate!  I could go on and on but I think that I had better put my energy into telling him this stuff to his face because if time keeps on ticking like it has so far...some opportunities are bound to be missed.  I would like to keep that to a minimum! Wink

Here are all the party pics 'cuz we celebrated a lot this week!

    Party

From the Family Party. (this is Knight and Sir John from GeoTrax (R))

This is the School Crowd giving Tyler a "Birthday Blessing"  (his teacher was dressed as Clifford for the day and is putting sequence in his hair as they pray over him.  Not a combo you would typically find together but it totally works here...CUTE!)

From the Friend Party with our good friends the Nelsons.

    Seriously...It is April 5th...

....but it is Minnesota so it still kinda makes sense.........this is what we woke up to.  Beautiful, but it is April.  Tyler is frequently asking me if it spring yet and trying to figure out the extra snow.  All I can say is, "this is Minnesota."  Wish I had a better answer.  And come to think of it....this was the middle of March.....60 degrees baby!.......I guess this is yet one more instance where I have a hard time dealing with change....again! Surprised And it confuses my kids too!

On a postive note....today was great for snowmen and snow ball fights (before all the snow melted because it was gloriously sunny later today)! Open-mouthed
