March 26 Photos...Dancing the Blues Away :-)...because it is so stinkin' cloudy here and I am not handling it very well.
...because I went to Zumba today and had a blast!
...but there is still more music in me that needs an outlet....
Enjoy!
(At some point I will try to get a video of me and the family dancing because we are crazy about music and all its parts here!) March 17 Green StuffHappy St. Patty's Day!
We are NOT Irish so it is just a day to wear green to us but ooooopppps, we didn't wear green today. Maybe next year. But I did figure today was a good day to put some GREEN pics on here.
Back on March 2nd, it was Dr. Seuss' Birthday or some such thing. We honored it by making Green eggs and ham for dinner (aka: breakfast for dinner and the ham was actually bacon). See:
Turned out nice and GREEN!
And I just had to take this pic because I was just casually putting food on my plate, but it turned out so fun.....like this:
Tough to eat a plate that is smiling back at you! March 12 the BEST Circus Ever!!!Tyler's school had a BIG Circus today. All the kids and teachers got to pretend and act out various parts of the circus....and all this was about 1 hr. long so it was lots of kids and lots of activity!!
It was soooooo much fun!
The Look of Satisfaction (icecream at the end of the performance):
Hold on tight to your pillows and blankies.......'cause Beth is ready for her big girl bed! WHOA!!
Background info: Saturday she climbed out of her crib twice because she was super duper mad at me and refused to be on timeout. Then, Monday night she did not want to go to bed and so she climbed out to tell us so. Miraculously, no injuries or other traumas to speak of...she is quite strong and nimble.
Current situation: We don't have a twin size bed yet for her...that was our intention when "we" were ready to move up from the crib to the bed. Well, it is time for improvisation (aka waiting for garage sale season) and goin' with the flow.....so we put the crib mattress on the floor and overall Beth LOVES it! (We are still working on some "wandering" kinks though)
March 09 DWTS....Yippppeeeeee!March 06 Mommy QuestionsThis is a cute idea…got it from one of my friends who put this note on Facebook. You are supposed to copy this note, ask your child the questions and write them down exactly how they respond. I just figured that I would put it here so that more family would be able to read it…..without further ado, I give you Tyler, the thinker!
Mommy Questions by Tyler age 3
**I can't wait to ask Beth these same questions when she gets a little older and her speech improves a little more.**
March 02 Our Bobsled Track Out BackWhen we were looking at our current house last winter (getting ready to buy it), we noticed that the tweens and teenagers that used to live here had made a snowboarding ramp thingy by wedging wood into some spots in the yard and terraced area and then packing snow around to make mini-jumps. So we thought that was cool at the time and just logged it in our memory to see if we could do something similar for the kids this winter.
Well, Beth doesn't like sledding yet. She would rather lick icicles, throw snow, and generally supervise the rest of us sledding. I get to sled some, but really I am the resident photographer. Nathan has become the certified track groomer and takes his job very seriously.
This weekend was Nathan's Birthday.
