    Green Stuff

    Happy St. Patty's Day!

We are NOT Irish so it is just a day to wear green to us but ooooopppps, we didn't wear green today.  Maybe next year.  But I did figure today was a good day to put some GREEN pics on here. Party

Back on March 2nd, it was Dr. Seuss' Birthday or some such thing.  We honored it by making Green eggs and ham for dinner (aka: breakfast for dinner and the ham was actually bacon).  See:
    Turned out nice and GREEN!

And I just had to take this pic because I was just casually putting food on my plate, but it turned out so fun.....like this:
Tough to eat a plate that is smiling back at you!Open-mouthed

    the BEST Circus Ever!!!

Tyler's school had a BIG Circus today.  All the kids and teachers got to pretend and act out various parts of the circus....and all this was about 1 hr. long so it was lots of kids and lots of activity!! Party Tyler (and about 1/2 of the other kids) was a tiger.  He borrowed a Tigger costume to complete the gig.  Check out these "tricks" that he did:

It was soooooo much fun!  Red heartOpen-mouthedSun (The whole way home Beth called him Tigger instead of Tyler.)

Star The teachers did such a great job putting this together (detailed, fun, bright,....something for everyone)!  Thanks to them for their hard work!

The Look of Satisfaction (icecream at the end of the performance):

Smile Yeah, FUN, I just don't have to words to describe it.  Hopefully you could understand what I was trying to say with all the pics and videos.

Hold on tight to your pillows and blankies....

...'cause Beth is ready for her big girl bed!  WHOA!!

Background info:  Saturday she climbed out of her crib twice because she was super duper mad at me and refused to be on timeout.  Then, Monday night she did not want to go to bed and so she climbed out to tell us so.  Miraculously, no injuries or other traumas to speak of...she is quite strong and nimble.

Current situation:  We don't have a twin size bed yet for her...that was our intention when "we" were ready to move up from the crib to the bed.  Well, it is time for improvisation (aka waiting for garage sale season) and goin' with the flow.....so we put the crib mattress on the floor and overall Beth LOVES it!  (We are still working on some "wandering" kinks though)

This is a cute idea…got it from one of my friends who put this note on Facebook. You are supposed to copy this note, ask your child the questions and write them down exactly how they respond.  I just figured that I would put it here so that more family would be able to read it…..without further ado, I give you Tyler, the thinker!

    Our Bobsled Track Out Back

When we were looking at our current house last winter (getting ready to buy it), we noticed that the tweens and teenagers that used to live here had made a snowboarding ramp thingy by wedging wood into some spots in the yard and terraced area and then packing snow around to make mini-jumps.  So we thought that was cool at the time and just logged it in our memory to see if we could do something similar for the kids this winter.

Well, Beth doesn't like sledding yet.  She would rather lick icicles, throw snow, and generally supervise the rest of us sledding.  I get to sled some, but really I am the resident photographer.  Nathan has become the certified track groomer and takes his job very seriously. Wink  Tyler has become quite the daredevil and little adventure seeker.  He LOVES being out back on his sled.  Sooo....

This weekend was Nathan's Birthday. Party (Happy Birthday Honey!) We spent much of the weekend sledding because of the fresh snow we got this past Thursday.  Man was it fun!!!!  Check out these videos:
