....everyone is taking their turns at being sick (Tyler on Fri., Beth on Sun. night, Me yesterday, Nathan today)

 

 

....playing with your kids and/or attempts to let them play independently (and you will just supervise) actually look like you just laying on the floor like a lump and you only rise when a diaper needs to be changed, lunch prepared, or a dispute reconciled.

 

....there is really only one ugly dispute in the day because the children are in TV withdrawl and have never really seen momma sick so this woman dressed a lump on the floor is "new territory"...but after said dispute, the children were complete angels for almost 3 hours....hunger got the best of them in the end. 

 

....you finally have enough strength to down some Sierra Mist and this coincides with the time that child number one desides that he is going to make as many white Play Doh shapes for you as he can, putting them all next to your pillow on the floor and telling you "I think these will help you feel better."....and wouldn't 'ya know, he was right!

 

....you feel comfortable enough to close your eyes while the children are playing with Play Doh because they have demonstrated time and time again that they can handle it appropriately (aka not eat it).  But sickness doesn't remove all sanity and so you peek at the cherubs from time to time to soak up the fun and wouldn't you know that child number two is working with extra sticky blue Play Doh and can't get it all off her finger tips so you catch her wiping the blue goop all over her white shirt, leaving streaks and fragments to fall on the floor, only to be mashed into the carpet later when she gets up to show you some of her "art"....but hey, you're sick today and you're totally OK with it all and you close your eyes again.

 

....your husband brings home chinese for dinner so that you don't have to cook.

I am no professional photographer.  But, I do love photography and just about anything photo related.  So when I saw various STRIKING images/sceneries/scenarios/events in the last month I thought what the heck....let's see if I can get a good picture.  Honestly, a whole bunch hit the electronic trash can! That is the beauty of the digital camera.

 

Here is a selection I thought were noteworthy and BLOG-worthy. 

 

Jan. 22- a weird frosty warm/cold day had everything coated white except for the insides of the trees. Hhmmm.

 

Feb. 2- The snow had been melting but then froze up again leaving the puddles of water on top to turn to ice and they looked like a bunch of beads on top of the snow....or so I thought.

 

Feb. 9-  Got some rain...is this MN!?!?! and the windows had this cool effect on them.  This download didn't turn out as well as when it is blown up on my computer but the bottom right part of the window has this cool streaky effect.  Maybe you can see it.

 

Feb. 6- Deer Patrol.  We keep seeing this injured deer eating from our neighbor's bird feeder.  Smart Guy.  And, he is fun to watch....hope he gets better.
